Recap: ULI Ireland | The Big Debate: A Directly-Elected Mayor for Dublin?
ULI Ireland’s latest event was a very interesting debate on whether the Dublin region would benefit from having a directly elected mayor.
July 3, 2024
Following on from our last site visit to see one of Bartra’s co-living schemes in Dun Laoghaire in South Dublin, the latest ULI Ireland site visit was a remarkably interesting tour of the Newmarket Yards build-to-rent scheme in the historic Dublin 8 district. Designed by Reddy Architecture + Urbanism, developed by Carrowmore Property and Bain Capital and managed by MD Properties, the scheme is an exceptional example of high-quality rental accommodation and associated amenities.
Those on the tour got to see all aspects of the scheme including the impressive gym and yoga studio, extensive bike and car parking facilities, co-working space and private dining and entertaining spaces before moving up the building to see some of the residential apartments and amazing roof gardens and open spaces. From there, we had a magnificent view of the Dublin 8 district, which has gone through an unbelievable transformation in recent years. All attendees enjoyed this latest tour and look forward to our next on in the Autumn.
