UrbanPlan Ireland
UrbanPlan Ireland is a fully funded education programme led by professional facilitators for secondary school students supported by volunteer property experts. It is free of charge to schools. The programme brings to life the built environment for young people through a series of team challenges around regenerating an urban site.
Our Impact in Ireland
Since 2016, we have run UrbanPlan in 30 schools across Ireland including Dublin, Rush, Cork, Tipperary and Limerick. We have worked with 80 property volunteers who have participated in the workshop, inspiring 745 students and working with 30 teachers.

Workshop Summary
Working in small groups, students form property development companies, which compete to regenerate a fictional city centre site, called Ellham. Simulating real-life, students work through financial, design, ethical and environmental challenges in order to create a financially viable scheme comprising a mix of commercial and residential uses. Once designed, their final challenge is to pitch and present their ideas to our property volunteers and receive their expert feedback.
